Bottom blasted. Waterline was moved up? Part of it was never barrier coated. Now have some blistering. Not great. Keel also needs love. Some old repairs weren’t done super well. She’s dry though. So that’s what matters. Onwards and upwards.

Boat work . Getting ready for serious cruising next season. In doing routine engine maintenance we discovered a gnarly leak from the back plate of our heat exchanger. So after wresting with some ruses on bolts. Finally got the f’er off. Now it’s time to replace the exhaust elbow and then do some reg cleaning g and treatment on the engine and engine room and we are good to install the insulation. This weekend we rip out old wires.

We’re working our tails off this winter to get Livewire ready for the ‘21 cruising season. Here are some projects we’re undertaking. Deep service of the engine, fare keel, and figure out what all the wires and tubes do in the cockpit locker. Bunch more as well. But will show those later. ⚓️
