In case anyone is curious, this is what 40 pairs of Vintage cut-off shorts looks like in their first stage of becoming amazing. I personally try on each pair of shorts, make markings, and cut them so that they actually fit a human being. MOST IMPORTANTLY, I make sure they aren't too short. I think we can all agree that having your ass out just isn't cute anymore. Next, I distress them and wash each pair at least 3 times. This softens them up to give them a worn in feeling. The best part about cut-offs is that they get better as you wear them and wash them. (Anyone who has ever shopped at Forever21 or H&M knows what it's like having your clothes go through the wash and they basically have disintegrated.) Each pair is only $30....that's right just because they are vintage doesn't mean they cost a fortune. Moral of the story: shop local and support your local artists. When things are handmade they are made better. Stop supporting big businesses who don't pay attention to detail and sacrifice the quality of your clothing to make even more money. Let's stop looking EXACTLY THE SAME and add some vintage or handmade clothing and accessories to your wardrobe. End of rant and seriously... βπ»οΈ
