This is a photochromic lens: about ten seconds under UV light and it goes from completely clear to sunglass-dark. No clip-ons, no second pair in your bag.

We make them in our lab, in your prescription. Ask us about Transitions on your next visit.

Back to school starts with clear vision. 👓📚

Kids spend so much of their day reading, writing, looking at screens, and focusing in the classroom. But children don’t always realize or tell you when they’re not seeing clearly.

Squinting, sitting too close to screens, frequent headaches, rubbing their eyes, or struggling to focus can all be signs that it’s time for an eye exam.

At Ultimate Spectacle Middletown, we make eye care easy for families. From comprehensive eye exams to finding comfortable, durable frames kids actually want to wear, we’re here for every step.

Before the backpacks are packed and the first bell rings, make an eye exam part of your Back to School checklist. 💙

Screen time doesn't "ruin" your eyes. Everyone assumes it's the villain. It's actually just drying them out.

Most of what people believe about their eyes came from somewhere they can't even remember — a parent, a rumor, an old wives' tale. Meanwhile the actual risks (undiagnosed pressure changes, kids missing early screenings) go unnoticed.

Your glasses take care of your vision. Take care of them, too. 👓

A few simple habits can help keep your glasses looking and performing their best:
• Clean lenses with a microfiber cloth only
• Never use your shirt, tissues, or paper towels
• Don’t place your glasses lens-side down on any surface
• Store them in a case when not in use
• Use both hands when putting them on or taking them off
• Rinse lenses before cleaning to remove dust and debris

And if your glasses need an adjustment, deep cleaning, or a replacement part, stop by Ultimate Spectacle. We’re always happy to help whenever possible.

A little extra care goes a long way. ✨
