This is the post I have been dreading to write. Most of you know that I have been fighting stage IV cancer for the last five years. Well, my fight is over. The cancer in my liver has taken over and my liver has shut down. My oncologist told me two weeks ago that I have less than a month to live and I feel it. This is my goodbye to all of you. I feel we each have a special connection, even though I have never met most of you. I hope they let me crochet in heaven! Know that I will read all of your messages, but I don’t have the energy to reply.

Things I have learned: Be kind, don’t let the little things bother you, don’t let the material things take control of your life, and always trust in God.

I’m almost done! It’s been a rough week. You know you’re sick when you can’t pick up a crochet hook. After a trip to the ER, it was discovered that my liver has enlarged three times its normal size, pushing my stomach and other organs into my ribs. Not fun. They wanted to give me a blood transfusion because my hemoglobin was so low, but the hospital was low on blood. Guess someone else needs it more. Hopefully, my oncologist has a plan when I see her tomorrow. So I’ve been watching a lot of Netflix on and off between sleeping. Currently watching Call the Midwife. What’s your favorite Netflix series? I’ll need another one next.

It’s here! Only $1 for 24 hours! The Beachy Boho Top crochet pattern is now available on Etsy and Ravelry. Constructed in one piece, this simple top is perfect to wear over a cami for those cool summer days. Using a cotton blend yarn with tall stitches, it works up quickly in sizes XS to 4X, and will become a favorite trendy layering top. Caron Cotton Cakes was used, but any lighter worsted weight yarn will work.
