Have I shown you this one? This messenger bag is made out very roughly tanned bison leather. It is rustic and rugged. So much fun to make. Used drop cloth fabric for the lining.

I love to create things without a pattern. This was made for a gal from South Carolina. She is a huge Dr Quinn mdicine woman fan.

Those are pronghorn buttons I made.

Hi! This is me. When I look at myself I marvel at how I am aging. A bit Robert Redfordish (pre surgery) and a bit W***y Nelsonish. I have always thought God had a sense of humor and I live it most days.

We live in some crazy times.

How are you all doing out there?

My strategy has become the focus of taking good care of myself mentally, physically and spiritually. I just want to take care of me eat beautiful food, enjoy this beautiful space I live in, and make beautiful things from the treasure I have in my shop.

Peace

Horse tack challenge!

My friend Susan, owner Moss Saddle Boots and Tack, always has something interesting for me to incorporate into my leatherwork.

This time she had the item shown here. I had no idea what it was until she told me. But I bet someone out there knows! Put it in a comment.

So this is what I came up with for this piece of tack. Very rustic. Could be a hunting pouch or a small purse. Rendezvous item.

Made with elk, deer, horse and bison leathers. The front pocket has a badger claw that was processed by me after my fur harvesting friend shared a badger with me. Thanks Merlin of Merlin’s Hideout In Thermopolis, WY
