The Fashion of Mobilizing: The Power of Participation

Date: Thursday, October 16th

Join us for an inspiring evening as we explore The Fashion of Mobilizing, how style, voice, and action can merge to create real change.

Our featured guest, Diana Olivera Ibarra, was born and raised on Milwaukee’s South Side and currently works with the Democratic Party of Milwaukee County on the Latino Outreach Project, dedicated to increasing Latino voter participation through year-round community building and organizing.

Before this role, Diana worked as an organizer for the Harris–Walz Campaign in Milwaukee’s South Side. She is a 2024 graduate of Soka University of America, where she earned her B.A. in International Studies, focusing on Latin American Studies, Human Rights, War and Conflict, and American Politics.

Come out and learn how all of these experiences,; activism, identity, fashion and engagement, intertwine to shape the power of participation!

We’re back for August’s Milwaukee Fashion Network: Third Thursday with a powerhouse guest leading the conversation on how tech is transforming the fashion industry!

Join us Thursday, August 21 from 6–8PM as we welcome Grif Von Holst, Chief Product Officer at Straightlines AI. With a career that includes digital innovation leadership at Centric Software and collaborations with brands like Gucci, YSL, and Arc’teryx, Grif brings deep insight into how AI can enhance the creative process, not replace it.

He’ll demo his latest platform and share how it helps designers stay focused on what they do best: creating.
