Classes start this week: Hand Mending Essentials!
First class, Tuesday, September 22
5:00pm - 6:30pm
Washington Park Branch Milwaukee Public Library, Finney Community Room
Learn how to mend your clothes with just a needle and thread. No
sewing machine necessary. This is a four-week program that meets on select Tuesdays from 5-6:30 beginning on September 22. Each session is devoted to one mending skill. At the end of the four-week program, each participant who attends all four sessions will receive his/her/their own mini sewing kit. Although the emphasis is on mending by hand, we will demonstrate doing the skill on a sewing machine if time permits. Registration recommended.
+September 22 – Sewing on buttons, clasps, etc.
+September 29 – Patching holes
+October 13 – Rips and Tears
+October 27 - Hemming
