So my daughter broke her finger earlier this week and thankfully got away with just having a molded brace rather than a cast. However, the temperature this weekend won’t get above zero for a couple of days. So I was able to crochet her a nice mitten to fit over that hand, considering we only have gloves at the house.

My annual recap of the year in yarn. 46,736 yards of yarn this year! 13,000 more than last year. Varying sizes, but still, a huge jump. That’s from 140 skeins, cakes, and balls. That’s an average of 128 yards a day.

It’s been a lot of blankets this year, so not as frequent of posts. Excited to have those up for raffles this spring, one to benefit Teddy’s bowling team and one for the Annual Chili Fundraiser for Eleanor’s dance team going to Worlds.

It was a hard year as a crafter, with the loss of Joanns. I know it may sounds silly, but that store, my local one, and the people that worked there meant a lot to me. I miss talking to the ladies there about everything and walking the aisles with the kids, excited about projects they were going to create.

Here’s to 2026 and everything we can create together.

Finished these custom boy/girl Irish dancers for a very special set of twins (not mine). What a clever idea for a teacher’s baby shower and I was blessed to be commissioned to make them.
