Do these four flowers grow where you live? Wildflowers that appear out West, up into Alaska.

I loved designing this one. Even though it's small, I made an effort to depict the leaves of each flower as they really are by looking at photos and sketching out ideas.

I’ve been painting loons!🎨

Aside from stitching, I love to paint. My dining room table is my “studio” because acrylic paint and sewing rooms do not play well together. So I make it work, and my family is wonderfully tolerant.

I’m from northern Minnesota where we wait with great anticipation each year for the return of the loons. Their haunting call, their regal presence, we are proud to call them our state bird.

Little kits like you see here are available, along with some awesome threads. I used one of Valdani Threads new metallic threads on the tree, and it's quite nice to work with. The metallic is woven in with the cotton strand, so I found it a bit easier to work with than other metallics. Let me know what you think!
