featherie balls may explode with modern clubs, but that sounds like a the ball makers problem to figure out. 🤷‍♂️

The gutty balls fly pretty funky. Sometimes they self correct in the air. That could be neat.

Easy solution to the rollback. Featherie or Gutty balls will work great. Which should the PGA go with?

Pre-1850 clubs, balls and golf tournament format. This pre-dates Tilly, but boy was it fun.

1912 marked Tillinghast’s final year playing “professional golf”, 22 years before the first official Masters tournament.

The green jacket wouldn’t be awarded to winners until 1949, 7 years after his passing.

Before that, it belonged only to members.

He was neither.

But some traditions are too iconic not to reinterpret.

World Gutty Championship Day 1 (yesterday). Winter Park Golf Course. Orlando, Florida.

•Stymie rule in play - if you don’t know, it’s a hoot.
•Gutta percha balls - referred to as the ping pong balls of golf balls.
•Pre-1900 clubs only - smooth faces, smooth swings.
•Sand tees only (no modern tees)
•Match play (3 rounds of 9 - day 1) - best format in my opinion.
•Era apparel - as best we can.

Had so much fun. First picture, the ball in front of me cannot be marked. I had to either putt around it or chip over it.

Broke my mashie on the 7th hole of the 3rd round and it left me with three total clubs. 140 year old clubs will do that. (Day two today, post to follow!)

Learning a niche within the niche of hickory golf and played with some of the nicest guys around.

Shoutout to my wife holding it down in Minnesota during a blizzard with our kiddos.

2025 was a great year at Tilly Golf.

I really fell in love with hickory golf. I don’t know why I do it to myself.

My oldest son picked up clubs this year!!!

Pop up shop with my twin brother was a massive hit!

Ryder cup release sold out (it was my first apparel capsule release and it crushed).

Tilly Golf items were seen at the Masters, the Ryder cup, and many more!

50% growth in sales even despite turning all paid media channels off in Q4.

My family and friends continue to support me in so many ways. I love you all and thank you so much!

Things that didn’t workout in 2025 that will happen in 2026:

New polo designs! We’ve got a big lineup in the works!

Get out and play with my customers, ambassadors, and passionate friends of Tilly Golf.

Here’s to 2026 and let’s grow this thing!!!
