I received a surprise random etsy order last night for this beaut. With the new pup and entertaining my nieces for a month, I haven't had much time to work on my sewing or shop, so I truly didn't expect any orders. I'm thankful and happy to send this lovely oven mitt to its new home in the hills of Tennessee 💙

this week - A friend who has trusted me for many projects came to me with the most special request - a memory pillow from a sweatshirt she bought her late grandmother. 💚 As I finished the pillow, I considered how I could use the leftover material for a surprise. I decided to make a few heart shaped ornaments so she could share the love, hang throughout the house, or save as a special memory for the Christmas tree. I hope this helps to heal the pain of such a great loss

I recently received a special request for flamingo oven mitts. I couldn't decide which color I liked better, so I made both. The pink one has already found a new home, but the one with the violet accents is hanging out in my shop waiting for its new owner.

Just dropped off the blanket and 2 additional baskets for the rescue silent auction. One basket was a kitchen set that I made a double oven mitt and hanging towel to match. I'm also pretty excited for this set. I loved the oven mitts more each time I saw them after they were done.

Unbeknownst to me, my dear friend had been patiently waiting for me to sew these fabrics together into an oven mitt. We were quilt shop hopping together when I found the fabrics, so this is as much a useful kitchen tool as it is a reminder of our trip to Gatlinburg! Its cousin (because fabric placement is like eyebrows - rarely identical) is still in the shop if you're looking for a cabin themed oven mitt of your own.
