Nick and I fell in love to this song and a week ago, in the most surreal, beautiful moment of our lives, our baby girl entered the world to it too.

She arrived via C-section, and from the second we heard her cry, everything changed. I have never known a love like this and I can’t believe she’s already one week old.

There is also something so powerful about seeing the person you love hold, comfort, and adore the tiny human you created together. Bringing you closer and into a deeper love through the sleepless nights, poopy diapers and baby babbles.

I feel like I could watch her sleep forever and when she looks right at us it brings uncontrollable happy tears to my eyes. I feel a fierceness of love that I have only heard mothers talk about and can now only understand.

Our hearts are so full ❤️

Pregnancy stretched me in ways I never expected, bringing challenges that tested not only my physical and mental strength, but my patience, and trust in my own body. Yet within all of that, there was so much beauty and tender moments. And a very powerful reminder of just how incredible our bodies are and how important it is to listen to them.

I’m so proud of myself for moving through it all. The hard days of feeling sick, energy less, navigating gestational diabetes, trying to run a business and make art. The unknowns of how to prepare or the moments of self doubt and whether I’d be able to make it to the other side.

But through it all, I’ve been held by the most loving, patient, and supportive partner. And on April 11th, we finally got to meet our sweet Cedar 🌿

We’re still in the tender space of recovery, slowing down, and holding gentle space for this new version of our family but I wanted to share these photos from our maternity shoot taken a few weeks ago by .

They feel even more special now as they capture a moment in time where everything was about to change, and we were just beginning to understand the depth of what was ahead.

Here’s to this new chapter, to healing, to love, and to the magic of new life. ✨✨✨

Can’t believe it’s been two years since I was in Bali for a pole retreat with the amazing .raddest.abbey

Surrounded by a group of the most badass, supportive women 👉🏽 moving, laughing, growing, and pushing past limits together. That experience reminded me how powerful it is to just be in your body and trust what it can do.

Dance and travel have a way of healing you in places you didn’t even know needed it… while also building strength from the inside out.

Now life looks a little different with a baby on the way, but I can’t wait to find my way back to the pole when the time is right. ✨✨✨

Took a break from the usual studio routine today…

Casting my pregnant belly for a more serious piece about motherhood and protection felt equal parts ridiculous and really special. I’ll share more as the work progresses, but it’s moments like this 👉🏽 finding joy while holding heavier concepts that remind me why I love what I do.

Very grateful (and slightly stuck) to have a team I trust completely to help bring such an intimate work to life.

Bodies are powerful, and I can’t wait to meet my little one soon.

Stay tuned.

Grateful to for hosting us this past weekend for Fiber Week and giving me the chance to share my work with the community and give an artist talk. I’ve always loved that place, so being there in this way felt especially meaningful. It was refreshing to step away for a bit, spend time in the woods, and connect with such thoughtful, engaged folks. Thank you for the warm welcome

As a fellow snow sculptor, I was heartbroken and furious to see the sculptures taken down and hacked apart at both the World Snow Sculpting Championship in Stillwater and the MN State Competition this year.

To me, this is a humanitarian issue, not a political one. Destroying artwork feels far more violent than allowing artists to make a statement about what’s happening to our loved ones and neighbors across the country. If there was an issue, the work could have simply been disqualified from placing. Silencing art is something else entirely.

In times like these, creating art is essential. Art is how we process grief, resistance, care, and truth. Artists deserve spaces where they are supported, not punished, where their voices are met with curiosity instead of erasure. Go where your work is protected, where your community shows up for you, and where expression isn’t met with fear.

To the teams who created this work: you are brave for speaking out, even at the risk of disqualification. Imagine if every snow sculpture carried a similar message. Then there wouldn’t be able to have their competition at all with such a united front!

The images here were taken by and are of a new work by titled Ice Out for Good, along with a memorial wall honoring Renee Good and all lives stolen by ICE and Border Patrol.

The other image is of and , who hosted and read at the vigil held at the sculpture this weekend.

is also currently running a GoFundMe to help create a permanent memorial honoring fallen protesters. If you’re able to support or want to learn more, the link is in my bio.

Textiles are resistance because they carry identity and are a refusal to disappear. I loved seeing these awesome textiles on the streets at the march the other day and I would love to see more textile related works people are making in response to what’s happening in our city. DM a pic and id love to share others work. ❤️✨❤️
