There was a rumor that River Market was open during the storm and I needed flour. There was not a soul in sight except for the liquor store owner and his very friendly dog. Almost everything was closed and the wind is picking up. I went down by the bridge and only fell twice. Fortunately not into the river because that would have been really bad. I did get my flour. And then I had to walk uphill.

A visit back to the St. Paul project. We didn't have a large budget. We decided the wallpaper was worth the splurge and it did make a huge impact. Also the painted floors. The originals were tired and damaged so instead of replacing them we went bold with extra large checkerboard. We kept the original appliances. I'm working with the same contractor again, and they are exceptional. UrbanRebuilders.com

One upon a time long long long ago I had a baby daughter that I named Rachel. She decided to grow up and become all independent & stuff and Marry a handsome Norwegian named Anders. Of course they decided to also have a baby daughter. Because we are surrounded with Loch and Ash and monster trucks, we thought this was a good idea. (I'm sure she'll love monster trucks. ) Anyway, they let me design a nursery and it worked out perfectly because I just happened to have a few gilded mirrors laying around so it all worked out.

The holidays appeared overnight in our lovely town of Stillwater, Minnesota. How can a snowfall take your breath away? Probably shoveling but I'd call 911.
You really need to visit. I haven't even shown you the downtown yet. It's magical. So many Hallmark movies being made.

Happy Saturday on this cozy dark day. Tonight, Stillwater is lighting her tree and there will be hot chocolate and spiced cider for everyone. I'm going to be wallpapering a nursery but hopefully back in time for the festivities. ###x
