Have you heard about Death Valley National Park moving rocks on The Racetrack? No, it's not aliens moving them (at least as far as we know) π½
Rocks here have traveled as far as 1,500 feet, leaving a trail in playa behind them. Rain gathers on the playa and under the rocks. When temperatures drop on cold winter nights, ice will form under the rocks that forms a slick surface allowing the rock to slide along. When the sun rises and temps warm up, the ice melts and pops β leaving behind an eerie trail behind the rock that moved overnight.
Have you seen these rocks for yourself at the Racetrack in Death Valley? Tell us what it was like below!
