She is not guarding anything. She has simply decided the day is not over until every human is upstairs—and this Saint Bernard will sit at the bottom of the stairs until that condition is satisfied. 🐶❤️
If you go back downstairs for a glass of water, she resets. She comes down, waits patiently and escorts you upstairs all over again. It is not anxiety or protection. It is simply a bedtime routine she invented—and now enforces with total seriousness.
She has been doing this for four years and has never once gone upstairs first. 😂
