Today we launched something huge. A CSA. Community Supported Apparel - our take on a crowdfunding campaign to raise starting capital to build our own factory.

Only 2% of the clothes we buy in America are made in America. So you can imagine how many are made in the very unpopulated mountains of Montana. There isn’t one single athletic apparel factory in our state, so we don’t make any of Youer’s clothes here. Today, we’re changing that. With YOU.

Give a like, a share, buy something if you wish, or spread the word with your voice. It's all important in changing the landscape of U.S. manufacturing. Shop what we have available at the link below.

Clothing for individuals, because YOU are unlike any other. Built for the many adventures you take, in the USA from recycled plastic bottles.

“Growing up I was almost ashamed of the color of my skin because of how my brothers and I were treated.

The first time I remember being called the N word, I was in first grade. The first time a boy told me I wasn’t as pretty as the white girls I was seven. Some families wouldn’t let me attend birthday parties for their kids. My “friends” made black jokes and told me not to take it the wrong way because it was funny.

As I got older I did everything to appear less “black”. I straightened my hair, starved myself so I would appear less curvy. I let offensive things said about the African American community slide off my back as to not appear “that black”. My friends used the N word around me as if they didn’t see my skin, and I said nothing.

Boys I dated made me straighten my hair after swimming as I looked too “Nappy” natural. Parents commented on how nice it was I didn’t act like a “regular black”. As long as I came “correct” I was loved.

When I was 22 I began cracking at the seams. Fighting myself to stay quiet, while longing to get real. I want to be so clear, I have made a lot of mistakes and done LOTS of things I’m not proud of. And I won’t give you one excuse because I got lost. However, as I am emerging from the ashes I will not remain silent a moment longer. I will no longer allow those who haven’t taken the time to know my heart dictate the conversation that is my life.

I am an African American woman. I have done the work to grow and change... blossom. Change is possible but it hurts like hell. I will not shame the people who hurt me. I will thank the people who have stood by me. Supported me, loved me, encouraged me. I don’t need you to like me, but I will ask you to respect me. I will ask you to stand with black lives and let us have our voice.

Stand with us. Not in front of us. As I step out of my comfortable zone I would encourage you to do the same. Nothing will change if we continue to stand still.”

“Community motivates me to show up every damn day. I have met some of the most amazing humans through this space and I love watching how people show up for one another.

I started Sobba Cycle to bring my spin-addiction from the big city to the Flathead Valley but quickly realized that it was my perfect opportunity to combine my passions for movement and music into an experience so much bigger than the bike.

Being young and a woman in business certainly has it's challenges and people certainly have their doubts, but those same challenges have pushed me to fully embrace my creative vision and trust myself, which leads to the most authentic support. There will always be haters... but you do do [it's tattooed on my middle finger ;)”

“So much of the “Mountain Athlete” mentality is how far, how high, how long, what gear, who sponsors and how good.

I say this all the time. If you move in the mountains YOU are a mountain athlete. Let go of what it looks like. Own it, rock it, and if you mountain bike in a dress, ski in jeans, only own 1 pair of shorts (😉🙋‍♀‍) that is perfect. Go get after it.

Someone asked me recently to describe my brand.

The first word that came to my mind was “dirty”. I thought: I definitely can’t say that, who wants to define their brand as dirty.... well I guess I do.

What I mean by dirty is this. It’s that sticky sweaty feeling between your back and backpack. It is the dust that puffs off your socks that you peel off sitting on your tailgate. It is the mud puddle your dog makes in your back seat. It is the pine needles that stick to your skins after early season turns. It is the breakfast burrito wrapper in your pocket.

It is that gritty, dirty, beautiful feeling you get from moving outside.

I spend time at the squat rack so I can spend time here. I feel like the most beautiful powerful version of myself when I am outside”

Our Story

We make colorful wearables for gals who get after it, encouraging women to feel confident and express their individuality during outdoor pursuits. We were founded by one young woman with a dream, and $100 sewing machine in her parents’ basement and today we’re proud of the brand we’re building. Because our company is all about the outdoors, it’s important to us to make an effort to protect it. All our fabrics are made from recycled plastic bottles and the prints are our own - designed in house by our founder Mallory, they’re inspired but the natural world we recreate in.
