After designing for many years in the entertainment industry, Jan opened her boutique on Main Street in Moab. Somewhere between dressing performers for the spotlight and the romance of the Colorado river, an idea for the perfect “Moab look” took shape. It became the River Guide shirt.

Each unique piece begins its life far from Utah, discovered on Jan’s cross-country hunts for the perfect plaid. No two are alike, and that’s the point. Back in Moab, every chosen shirt is reworked by hand, passing through a process that is equal parts design, intuition, and a little bit of risk. Not all of the shirts make the cut. The ones that do earn their place on the shelves, adorned with the River Guide and Moab labels like a quiet badge of honor.

These shirts carry secrets of roads traveled, of second chances, of something ordinary turned into something worth wearing with memories of time spent in Moab.

From babies to seasoned adventurers, there’s a River Guide shirt for everyone at The Find. And while they begin in a small shop in Moab, they don’t stay there for long. They travel, just like the people who wear them, becoming a symbol of the Moab lifestyle wherever they go.
