Summer Burn Ban Reminder! From May to October, burning yard waste and debris is banned in Mobile County to protect air quality and reduce harmful ozone and fine particles, as outlined by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM). This seasonal burn ban is not the same as drought-related burn bans — it’s about keeping our air clean and our community healthy.

🚫 What’s banned?
Burning wood, brush, yard debris.
Burning construction or land-clearing waste.

✅ Better alternatives:
Compost yard waste.
Use leaves and clippings as mulch to enrich your garden and save water.

🎉 Calling All Vendors! 🎉

Vendor registration is now open for the SouthWest Mobile County Chamber's 13th Annual Kids Day on Saturday, July 25th, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Tillman's Corner Community Center!

This year's All-American theme, "Proud to Play, the American Way," will bring together hundreds of local families for a day of fun, games, community resources, free backpacks, school uniforms, and more.

We are currently seeking vendors who want to connect with families and showcase their business or organization. Outdoor booth spaces are available for just $50.

Join us as we help local students prepare for a successful school year while making a positive impact in our community.
