I meet so many people on the hunt for old telephones and I’ve been greedily holding onto my collection for years… but behold, the time is nigh! 📞✨

My museum of a house, in all its vintage glory, is officially spilling over, so these cutie patooties are finally making their way to the Vault.

If you’ve been searching for the perfect vintage phone, call me! 🤙🏼

Anybody else obsessed with vintage kids clothes or is it just me?? Where were all these cool threads when my kids were tiny!?! 😩🐘

There’s just something about a typewriter… the sound, the rhythm, the nostalgia. 😍

If you ask me, every household needs at least one! And my household doesn’t have room for more than one at the moment, so I’m letting this one go.

DM to purchase. ⌨️

It’s and today I want to share one of my most favorite Mobile finds ever! 🤩

One of the first things people wonder when they come into my home is why I have a giant blank piece of paper framed 🤭 At first glance that’s exactly what it is, but a closer look reveals something much more exciting!

This is an original early 1900s map full of details that tell a 100+ year old story of Mobile! 🗺️

To highlight a few interesting details:
• Crichton is shown OUTSIDE the city limits
• Three Mile Creek marks the edge of town
• The U.S. Quarantine Station at Choctaw Point is still in full operation
• The harbor is labeled with Choctaw Pass, Pinto Pass, and a U.S. dredged ship channel
• You’ll find a U.S. Government coal plant, Arlington Pier, and even a cable factory
• Railroads run everywhere—Mobile & Ohio, L&N, Southern, AT&N—still independent, pre-merger days
• No Bankhead Tunnel.

Put all of that together and you’re looking at a snapshot of Mobile right before everything changed, likely around 1918–1922, before the city expanded and absorbed surrounding areas like Crichton.

This was Mobile when ships, railroads, and industry ruled the waterfront. Disease control stations guarded the port, and the “edge of the city” looked very different than it does today.

It’s not just a map… it’s a freeze-frame of Mobile in a moment most people have never seen! Now if only I could find a way to enhance it 👀 If you know of someone or somewhere that does this, please put me in touch!

With an ever-growing collection of Mobile memorabilia, I thought I’d start up a weekly post that I shall henceforth refer to as “Mobile Monday” 😌

Just a little space on the internet to share my appreciation of all things Mobile & hopefully connect with others that share that same appreciation! And who knows, maybe we’ll even learn a thing or two from each other! 🫶🏼

Vault things 🗝️🖤

I hope you’re enjoying the MUCH needed rain this morning as much as I am! Once it finishes rolling through, come hunt for a treasure or two in the Vault & then hop on over to Fairhope Brewing Mobile for Mobile’s first ever annual Pickle Fest! Sounds like a perfect day to me 😎🥒🍺 See ya there!

I. love. old. s**t. PERIOD! 😍

When I picked her up, I just thought she was a beautiful old piece full of character… but once I got her home and took a closer look, I realized she has a whole story to tell!

She’s old, she’s ragged, and she has definitely seen better days…and y’all, those days were in the late 1800s! 😮

Stamped right inside:
“Property of Dr. A.C. Daniels
Boston, Mass.”

After a little digging, I found Dr. Daniels was part of a real Boston medical practice dating back to the late 1800s, right in that early apothecary / medicine era.

He wasn’t just a local doctor, he was part of a well-known 19th-century medical/veterinary business that was active in the late 1800s.
His company, Dr. A.C. Daniels, Inc., dates back to around 1878!!
He developed and sold medicines, tonics, & remedies (especially for animals, but also general use) Basically he was one of those early mail-order medicine / apothecary entrepreneurs! Very cool! 🤓

So this cabinet lived its first life in an actual doctor’s space over 130 years ago !🤯😍🤯

Imagine what it held… where it hung… the hands it passed through! (ugh, my literal favorite pastime 🖤)

She’s perfect for a bathroom, a kitchen, or most definitely a historic home that deserves the real thing and not just a reproduction pretending to be it!

If you’ve read this far and have genuine interest, DM me. The price may be more than right for the right home! I just want her to end up where she belongs! 🥹🫶🏼

I just need to put this out there.

I love vintage.
I love buying it, hunting it, saving it from the landfill, and giving it a second chance at life!

I love curating it and inspiring others to find the beauty in it for themselves.

It’s my therapy, and my creative outlet.
It quite literally feeds something in me.

It’s where I THRIVE! ✨

So even when I forget to post…
(which is often because it does absolutely nothing for my soul but is good for business)
… you never have to wonder if there’s anything new in the vault. Because yes. The answer will always be YES. 🙂‍↕️

Come see for yourself!
