Having trouble posting on my Wit & Whims page so showing this pretty table quilt Lori Sherwood finished for a friend. She chose a variegated green thread and Clover pattern.

I am so happy to post this most splendid work by Pat Rogers. I really wish I had better photography skills/equipment for this one as my pictures do not reflect well the metallic threads she used.

Each block is just fantasticly and perfectly done both with color and fabric creativity along with her embroidery machine skills.

For me, it is a bit frightful to work on such a piece as I need to quilt it without distracting from her beautiful work and yet turn it into a quilt. I used a pattern called Orange Blossom which creates secondary patterns of rings and looks nice on her solid black backing. I used a yellow/gold variegated thread.

I've been working on some quilts for Pat Rogers. Two of which were to quilt from Australian fabric panels. Unfortunately, I did not take photos of the first one, but did of this kangaroo panel. It was a fun one to do because of all the color range in the fabric. Photos are not very good at showing just how pretty the panel itself is.

Christmas in July! What started as a drizzling wet Saturday inspired me to work on a Christmas quilt created by Cathy LeDeux. Quilting of "I Believe" surrounded by patterns of candy canes, bells, stocking and holly. Cathy selected the green/gold thread color and told me to do what ever I wanted. I have wanted to do this whimsical pattern for a long time and her quilt gave me the fun opportunity. Thank you Cathy!

So very excited to share my day with you all. My cousin Pam Foglesong has gifted me with my Grandmother Rice's foot pump Singer sewing machine. So very excited! Hoping to get the original machine back into it and give the gal a dance. She also gifted me with her mother's old machine which I hope to learn more about. She was a professional seamstress in her time. Writing on outside of the box picture is my Aunt Kete's. I have not opened the box yet. So fun! Just warms my heart to have this. I remember as a little girl Grandma had made a dresser skirt, I suppose you could call it to cover and protect it that fell to the floor. She then used it as a night table between her and Grandpa's twin beds. Back to when I was a little girl I remember peeking up under the skirt and wondering what it was as it was also a great hide and seek spot. While the rolling caster wheels are easily functional, I have it on temporary pads to protect my floors.

This pretty and bright quilt was pieced by Catherine LeDoux. Cathy loves the aqua color tones and wanted the quilting to have a water feel to it. I chose a simple undulating wave pattern to give it motion without being distracting from her log cabin pattern. It was a joy to work on a quilt with such cheerful colors during these drizzling dark days, and Cathy did a beautiful job on this one.

This is the prettiest wall hanging done by Pat Rogers. It contains memorable family dates adding so much love in it. Basically all I quilted was the outer border with an oak leaf stitch. The other blocks she quilted when creating the top by her embroidery machine. She did gorgeous work and I did not want to put more stitching on top of them. I secured the front to the back in a couple of the planer rows along with the border. Such a beautiful piece.

I just noticed I had forgotten to post this quilt created by Daralyn Jones back in December. It was to be a Christmas present so I was waiting until after it was gifted. The quilting pattern is Florence.

This is the stunning creation of Viki Davidson and it was a real pleasure to quilt with it's sunny colors during these winter days. The quilting pattern I used is Damask and I used a variegated thread in oranges and golds.

This is a quilt friend Pat Rogers did that I think is really cool. She had me quilt the sashings and borders as she had already stitched the blocks with her embroidery machine as she made them. The quilting in this way really makes her blocks kind of of push forward which really gives them great dimension. With the denim in this quilt, it will be a warm one and I am sure it will be loved by her granddaughter Cassie.

Put the final stitches in this snuggly lap quilt last night. The fabric line is Woolies and is a very soft flannel of colorful plaids, herringbone and dots. I chose a rich chocolate brown flannel in the same line for the backing that has soft cream and rust cross hatching. Cheerful colors for cold weather snuggling.

A lap quilt I posted a couple days ago from my Wit & Whims page. Now that it is done, I love it and will enjoy having it out and draped over a chair this fall.
