I’m almost done with my 3rd door in this series.
I love painting folk-art I map out the design with chalk then fill it in with watered down latex paint.

I hope you had time to do something whimsical today! Whenever I share about this shed mural that me and my neighbor painted on her garden shed. I always get asked what type of paint I use. We just used a mixture of interior latex paint from home projects. We both had a lot of samples laying around the garden shed will need repaired at some point so we don’t expect the mural to last forever.

Whenever I ask him what he wants to do it’s one of three things, antique stores or thrift stores or to the park!🤣 I’m not mad about it. He’s gonna grow up with such an appreciation for antiques..

Thank you so much for everyone who chimed in on this project. I am beyond pleased with how it turned out. I love a fun apron that you could put over anything and completely feel like you’ve walked into a fairytale! Giving discarded things a second life is so much fun and I hope you love it as much as I do!

I absolutely love the versatility of simple syrup! I’ve made it infusing so many different herbs. I would recommend trying, sage and rosemary!

For the drink, you see at the end Earl Grey tea over ice
Froth half-and-half with simple syrup and enjoy!

All of this while spending enough time with my kids and the husband🤣 I try to have balance in my life, but I am learning every day! One thing I really love about having children is that it forces you to slow down!

I got these little plates for a $1 piece! I almost didn’t have the heart to put holes in my handmade plate rack, but I could always fill them in you paint over it! I think the little birds are so cute. Even my husband liked them. (he’s typically not a plates on a wall for decor guy.)
