Dear Valued Customers of Birdies on Broad,
With the recent GOOD GOOD and Callaway advertisement being pulled, along with GOOD GOOD’s removal from certain Callaway and PGA Tour activities, I wanted to share my perspective.
First, I want to be clear: I believe the advertisement was a poor decision and inappropriate. However, it is also important to recognize that the ad was approved before its release, yet GOOD GOOD appears to be carrying most of the criticism and consequences.
Those who have followed GOOD GOOD from the beginning know what the brand truly represents. At its core, GOOD GOOD has always stood for faith, family, friendship, and growing the game of golf. Through their content, they have inspired countless golfers, especially younger players, to pick up and enjoy the game.
Because of those values, Birdies on Broad will continue to support GOOD GOOD Golf. In fact, we will be the only store within 50 miles, and likely farther, carrying and supporting the brand.
I hope our customers understand the distinction we are making. We do not support the advertisement. We do support the values GOOD GOOD has consistently demonstrated and the positive impact they have had on the golf community.
For those unfamiliar with GOOD GOOD or who have only seen recent headlines, I encourage you to watch Garrett Clark’s heartfelt apology on Instagram. It was sincere, accountable, and reflective of the character many have come to associate with the brand.
At Birdies on Broad, we believe in accountability, growth, and giving people the opportunity to learn from mistakes and move forward. We also believe in supporting organizations whose overall mission aligns with the values of our store and community.
Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to seeing many of you this Saturday.
Sincerely,
Birdies on Broad
