The best greeting last night was from my beautiful pup, Runi, who truly couldn't give a s**t about the statue I was holding. He just was happy to have me home, connecting with him the only way you can when you feel love toward an animal the way I feel toward him and him to me.

I’d love to tell you more about Minnie and her impact on me as my heart and mind are so full of her memory today.

Sigh. Dogs are *so* good. And I. . . had one of the best.

Do you remember the first time a dog made you feel safe?

Like you could do *anything* with your partner in crime by your side?

That’s how it felt with Minnie working alongside me on the farm.

When we lost her suddenly, and far too soon, I was down for months just as I was working so hard to get LIFE and DOG off the ground.

But then I came up with the design for the Good Dog towel—strong, bold font contrasted with stylized line drawings of wings and a halo.

Everything about it reminded me of her.

It’s my favorite towel because Minnie was my favorite dog. I’m still learning from her and our time together.

Do you have a dog from your past that your heart still aches for? A dog that taught you to love animals deeply?

A dog that defined a significant part of who you are?

A dog where every day was better because they were there?

Dogs have a way of reminding us to leave the world a better place than we found it. Regrettably, it’s after they leave us that this is the clearest.

That’s what loving—and losing—dogs teaches us all.

Living a life where I can be open to learning from every opportunity around me is a journey I am excited to share.

Rooster & Goose. 🥹

Every time I leave for work everyday, I get "the look" from my dogs and it just about breaks my heart 🥺

Don't they realize I'm literally ONLY going to work to make money so they can have more bones, toys, and the best food money can buy? 😅
