- an instance of something popular, active, or important again. I love bringing new life to old things! I love to revive old furniture, weld, sew (when I have time) and all things crafty. We have horses, cows, Icelandic sheep, 4 dogs, farm cats and my donkey Otis. My passion for furniture started when m

y mom would drag me as a kid to furniture classes to refinish antique furniture. I always loved those pieces she has re-done especially an antique, pedal sewing machine that my Grandma won at the Great Jones County Fair. I love going to auctions, garage sales, flea markets and would stop at every antique stop if you let me. Some of my favorites finds are western memorabilia, crocks, baskets, ironstone, MCCoy pottery, vintage kitchen, and mostly old furniture pieces that usually look like they should be in the burn pile. My husband often wonders why in the world I would pay money for some stuff. Bringing those pieces back to life by re-finishing, painting or re-purposing is my favorite thing to do! I work full time at my "real" job to help pay the bills but in between family time, running kids from place to place I love to squeeze in my creative time. I currently have a booth in Whiffle Tree Mercantile in Monticello, IA. I sell antiques, vintage goods, housewares and now a full line of Fusion Mineral Paint and Fusion Milk Paint. I carry Scrubby Soap and Baker's Nest Barn Quilt Patterns. Our family motto; Life is good!
