At Stellar Athletics we train speed in three phases: acceleration, top-end speed, and change of direction.
I’ve personally seen some outstanding results from this acceleration giant set. Most athletes struggle with foot and ankle strength, projection angles, and the ability to produce force when accelerating. This series addresses all three.
It’s something I’ll continue to utilize, whether as a segment within a sprint session or as part of a warm up progression. I’ve been loving both the feel and the results: dropping two tenths off my 20 yard sprint, a tenth off my 10 yard sprint, and, most importantly, feeling like I’m covering significantly more ground with every step during acceleration.
