HOLLYWOOD, CA — A groundbreaking new feature film, created entirely using advanced artificial intelligence, is scheduled to debut this Christmas. Jesus Christ and the Keys of Hell will hit YouTube on December 25, 2025, offering audiences a daring and visually immersive take on one of Christianity’s most mysterious verses.
The creator, Pieter Wesley Whittington hopes to spark a renewed global fascination with Jesus Christ and His untold journey.
“I’ve been wanting to tell this story all my life. Like, where did He go for 3 days. What did he do there? I want to create a fun hip action movie filled with a little horror to bring all audiences together, find God again, or re-ignite the love for Christ.
Pieter says some Jesus stories don’t fully connect with the whole family, leaving a gap between what speaks to adults and what engages younger viewers.
The film explores the dramatic and symbolic journey of Jesus Christ into the depths of Hell following His crucifixion—a narrative rooted in early Christian theology and apocryphal texts. In this dark and mythic reimagining, Jesus confronts the forces of death and darkness to seize the legendary keys of Hell, liberating souls and asserting His divine authority.
Unlike traditional biblical films, this project is driven entirely by AI—from the script and cinematography to voice performances and visual effects. The result is a hauntingly lifelike cinematic experience that blends ancient spiritual themes with cutting-edge technology.
Pieter says, he knows the bewares of AI, and wants to use it to not only cut cost of filming making, but use the tool to influence the world with Christ.
“I know the Bible barely touches on Christ’s descent into Hell—but that’s exactly what makes it so intriguing,” Pieter says. “This film isn’t here to just preach. It’s here to provoke, to entertain, and to ask the question nobody dares to: What if it really happened—and what did He see down there?”
“This is sacred story brought to life in a way we’ve never seen before,” said one of the film’s developers. “It’s part theology, part fantasy, and entirely revolutionary.”
The decision to release the film on December 25th is already stirring conversation, with reactions ranging from awe to controversy. Faith leaders, theologians, and film critics are closely watching how the AI-generated project will resonate with global audiences.
A trailer, cast list, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content are expected to be unveiled later this fall.
