Within the textile industry there is major buzz around brands looking to “re-shore” their production of goods to U.S. The Carolina Textile District is a network of mill owners, pattern makers, label producers and suppliers joining together to lift up each other’s work, rebuilding textiles, and getting ready to manufacture on a large scale once again. While also helping new entrepreneurs develop their supply chain in responsible, ethical and sustainable way.

Exciting News!

The Industrial Sewing Program has 5 class dates for 2025! Join us for a 13 day program where you will learn how to operate 4 types of industrial sewing machines and will work on 15+ sewing projects!

Registration is done through Western Piedmont Community College: https://www.wpcc.edu/industrial-sewing/

At the end of the class, you will receive a certificate of completion, a home sewing machine, and a sewing kit to help you continue your sewing journey!

We had an amazing immersion trip last week with Saint Louis University! Students traveled all the way from Missouri to North Carolina to learn about fast fashion, supply chains, Co-ops, and more.

It was so much fun to see their excitement as we exchanged ideas over shared meals and coffee. We look forward to planning all of our 2025 immersion trips soon!
