This is a real and rare beauty that *almost* lived in my house. I don’t know what makes it more special, the fact that it’s an antique black wicker tray, has a glass insert, or the amazing antique coverlet piece under it. It’s the whole package! Wouldn’t it be a wonderful addition to your fall table-scape?

Ahhh my heart goes all aflutter over Rachel Ashwell’s Shabby Chic designs! I love how she “paints” stories with her designs by layering florals and textures and blending with vintage pastel painted furniture, resulting in the gorgeously romantic English country cottage aesthetic that inspires me. My favorite thing about her is her love of vintage. We are kindred spirits, Rachel Ashwell and I! 🩷

While there are many digital platforms where vintage is available, for me nothing beats the community of flea marketing shopping and seeing treasures in person. The imperfections that come with these found objects can be better understood when you can touch and feel them. And stories shared are inva...
