They say in one year of owning a business you learn as much as you would getting a bachelors. After my year I’d say that might be true because boy did I learn a lot! Last year I had made a leap and opened my store in Morrilton. I was armed with a business plan and a bit of hope. I thought I’d open the store front and struggle to get the custom orders that I was trying to target. Instead I was shocked to be overwhelmed with the custom orders (guess I had a good idea after all) so much that the functioning store got put on the back burner and I was wildly trying to keep up and try to find balance since my thought out business plan was knocked out and not applicable for what I was experiencing. THEN we became expecting of our little boy! That also wasn’t in my business plan. LOL. They also say you’ll thrive or dive in your first year of business. Well I was thriving in getting the business but I quickly was unable to keep up! With the end of my pregnancy came some complications and now that we’ve welcomed our little boy into the world he also has some medical needs. So with all that being said, I have decided to reign it in and close the store front for now, but that allows my spare time to put focus online! Before I was busy trying to keep up and very rarely posted online and have neglected it severely. So you can definitely expect to see more now and I look forward to see where this year takes us!
