Our Story

The Jive is a great little neighborhood bar and it’s also a destination for those of you who love Bloody Mary’s, craft beer and food you don’t get at other local bars! You won’t find any deep fried frozen food made in a factory here. Everything is made fresh from scratch using our very own recipes.

And our most famous products is Jive Jerky-artisan small batch beef and pork jerky made right here too! We also have a variety of fish, including salmon, tuna, perch and other delicious treats of the sea! Have a filet or have it on a taco or in a salad. It's all cooked fresh to order. We use fresh, locally grown, hydroponic lettuce and greens from Pocono HydroFarm to make your meal even more fresh and unique. Owners/Operators: The Jive Bar & Beer Garden is family owned and operated by The O'Grady's! Bar Menu: Our bar menu has a selection for even the most discerning patron. From unique craft beers to top shelf spirits to toast your friends, our selections will help you enjoy your time with us. Our premium bar features innovative cocktails crafted with fresh fruits and ingredients, an impressive spirit selection, and a range of domestic and imported beers to assure we’re stocked to satisfy every taste!

Food: All food is cooked on site by us from fresh ingredients daily. In addition to the indoor kitchen, Dennis has outdoor kitchen facilities including gas and charcoal grills and smoker. Our wings are known as the best in the area. No frozen food thawed out and nuked for customers here. And don't forget that we are Jive Jerky. Nobody does jerky better than Jive Jerky. We have two indoor bar sections, a wi-fi bar and table seating to accommodate singles, couples or groups. Come and enjoy the beautiful weather in our outdoor beer garden when weather permits! Dog Friendly: We are very dog friendly. Pets are permitted in the outdoor beer gardens where they will have fresh water and biscuits. You will sometimes find our retired service dog, Chuckles, napping on the couch after a full day of greeting customers. We raise service dogs, so you might even see our latest puppy being trained to be a guide dog or service dog for a veteran. We look forward to meeting you and becoming friends!
