Attention, runners and anyone who wants to get out and get some exercise while helping shelter dogs do the same. Mt. Juliet Animal Care and Control (located at 115 Industrial Dr.) is looking for runners and active people to participate in Paws on the Run, where you can pick up a shelter dog and take them for a run. Please see the attached flyer and contact them @ 615-773-5533 to get involved or if you have questions and need more info.

This is a wonderful way to help these dogs get the much needed exercise and socialization they need, in order to stay physically and mentally healthy and also to help better prepare them for their new home, whenever it may come their way. So, if you want to help dogs in need and don't know how, this is your opportunity. Also, if you're struggling with those New Year's resolutions and need a workout buddy to help keep you motivated and moving forward, this is also a great opportunity for that.

Pikolinos, anyone? It's boot season, and we've got fresh fall Pikolinos at Foot Gear Mt. Juliet. This is another brand we've carried for nearly 25 years (in our other locations), yet many of our customers here are discovering them for the first time.

Pikolinos was founded in Alcante, Spain in 1984, so it's not a new brand, by any means. But it is an exclusive brand and seems to be a well-kept secret here in Mt. Julie....until now. As with many of the brands we carry, Foot Gear is happy to introduce another one of the finest footwear brands (in the world) to Mt. Juliet and the surrounding area. We are happy to announce the arrival of Kizik footwear at Foot Gear Mt. Juliet. Their slogan is "The easiest shoes you will ever put on." and they are ideal for people who don't like tying their shoes or who don't want to bend over to put on their shoes. Sometimes this is caused by back pain.
