TGIF because it's✨️ 'Fiber Feature Friday'! ✨️

Here's how it works: each Friday we highlight a fiber currently available in the shop and provide a little more info about. And the best part - each fiber featured is automatically 15% off in the shop Friday-Sunday!

This week we're featuring wool from a CVM/Romeldale ewe named 'Sapphire'! She's from a microflock on Riversong Farm in Mount Vernon! CVM or ‘California Variegated Mutant’ is a medium fine wool breed, coming in an array of natural colors often within one fleece (hence ‘variegated’). Sapphire's fleece reflects this characteristic, with some gentle variegation among each hank.

CVM is a medium fine wool and next-to-skin soft, but still has enough tooth to be a breezy spin for all levels! We'd recommend spinning this woolen or semi-woolen to make a lofty yarn and maintain the delicious squish.

This fleece was a joy to process and it doesn't really get more local than this! 📍

Meet our newest shop sample, Aigues by ! We'd been craving some lacy texture and this pattern fit the bill, plus it highlights everything we love about our newest house yarn, Riverbend. And although it's almost be back to school season and , here in the PNW it's still plenty warm for lacy tops!

Riverbend is our love letter to domestic wool and local fiber farms. It blends a next-to-skin-soft fine wool blend from the Mountain West with a bit of local Romney to add color, texture, and drape. In all honesty, this wasn't a yarn we thought we'd continue. But its naturally colored beauty has stolen our hearts - it's extremely versatile (hello, MC for colorwork!), plumps beautifully, makes texture and lace sing, and is just a real joy to work with. Color us wooly-wool lovers surprised!

The pattern was originally published in Making Stories Magazine, and has since been released as a FREE pattern on Raverly. In fact, all of Audrey's patterns are free on Ravelry, which is a huge gift to all us knitters. She's a phenomenal designer and pattern writer.

We know some of you have been scooping up sweater quantities of this yarn - do tell us your plans so we can get some more cast-on inspo!

✨️ 'Fiber Feature Friday' is back! ✨️

Here's how it works: each Friday we highlight a fiber currently available in the shop and provide a little more info about. And the best part - each fiber featured is automatically 15% off in the shop Friday-Sunday!

This week we're featuring Teeswater blended with a bit of silk! Our super soft Teeswater locks are dyed and blended with white tussah silk for a lustrous, drapey blend. With how well the Teeswater takes the dye, we're never disappointed, and the 20% silk only amps up the wool's glow. 🌟

Both fibers in this blend are long and strong, and don't require a lot of twist due to the staple length, but you could easily give it some more for a durable yarn for hard-wearing projects or weaving! Whatever your amount of twist, the yarns will be smooth with great stitch definition due to the fiber characteristics.

What type of project would you use this blend for? We're curious to hear your ideas! 💡
