Well, here I go again...
After doing a pop-up show at Thanksgiving time and shopped small for holiday gifts, I missed having my shop. I have taken on a booth at Back Porch Pickers and Artisans, located at 16 1st Ave N, Mount Vernon, Iowa.

Even though the space is an 1/8 of the area I had at my shop, it allows me to keep creating but also my freedom to come and go. As I did in my shop, I have a little bit of everything, the ever so popular Donkey Milk Soap and Body Cream, repurposed items, textiles and more.

Stop in and check out my booth, I'm right at the front door. Also enjoy browsing a 100 or so other vendors, there is always something to find just around the corner.

Shop Small Saturday in just 12 hours!

Need a unique gift for that hard to shop for person? Stop by my booth and pick up some Donkey Milk Soap and Body & Hand Cream. Great lathering soap and deep, rich cream that nourishes the skin.
There will also be smalls for stocking stuffers, quaint Christmas decor and a few of my furniture pieces.
Make sure you stop by and see me at the Shop Smaller Market, 10am-2pm, locate at the First Street Community Center.

What a journey I have had. 2 years ago I took the leap and opened my little shop, Gertie's Goods. This endeavor allowed me to push my boundaries, meet some amazing people and understand the highs and lows of a small business owner.
I loved every minute and what I would call a success. Now my life has moved in a different direction, wanting more free time with hubby, children and grandchildren. For me, my family always comes first. With that being said, Gertie's Goods shop has now closed.
BUT... Gertie's Goods is not done. With the success of my Donkey Milk Soap and speciality smalls, I will still be creating. I will have an online shop and possible outlets in local stores. Also never count me out on a market or two.
With that being said, keep following the Gertie's Goods and I will send updates on products and future projects. Feel free to message me with any questions on my products.
Thank you to everyone that has supported me in through the years and stay with me as it will only get better! :)
