Behind the Threads 🥰

This little beauty was truly a labor of love! It all began with a dress originally made by Hannah’s mother-in-law, Erica, using fabrics she had thoughtfully collected over the years. Then it made its way to me for a fresh revamp for Hawaii 🌺

I reimagined the design and handed it off to my intern Chloe with some draping fabric and a dress form, letting her creativity take the lead—and she absolutely delivered! Chloe also played a big part in bringing it all together during construction. Such a special collaboration from start to finish 💛

A while ago, Hannah Harper came to me with an idea. Her vision was sentimental, meaningful, and full of heart — and since my style aligned with what she had in mind, I was beyond excited to bring it to life.
Together, we designed a one-of-a-kind patchwork homemade dress made from her family’s fabrics. What started as a “fun little dress” quickly became something so much bigger and it ended up being the perfect fit for her original song "string cheese" debut on the first round of American Idol.
Her smile, raw talent, and that patchwork dress found their way across socials like wildfire. Watching it all unfold has been such a joy.
Since then, many of you have found me through the cracks and reached out asking for your own version. I’ve gone back and forth on it — but I’m excited (and slightly nervous!) to say that we’re ready to take this on.
For now, we’re opening six custom orders. The gals in the studio and I have mentally prepared ourselves to add this to our workload alongside our regular projects 🤍
A little heads up: these dresses require many labor hours and are incredibly detailed, so pricing reflects that craftsmanship and time.
