I created this storefront to help earn extra income for some of my son’s college tuition as well as my daughter’s medical expenses! Instead of starting a GoFund Page, I would rather create and sell products, whether it is apparel, home decor, stickers, snacks, etc.
The food products are homemade by me, not another company. You can search for “Southern Belle’s Bakery & Bistro” on FB to see some of my designs. I will begin selling those products on Etsy coming soon!
I am a wife and mother of two children. My daughter is a junior in high school and my son is a sophomore at Virginia Tech. He is in Virginia Tech’s Engineering Program, and along with that, comes tuition, books, room/board, etc. I also work full-time in law enforcement, have a home-based bakery on the side, and I am an EMT, but have had to step back from volunteering to place my family first. I am also a big mental health advocate. My husband is an amazing man who has supported me through everything I have set my mind to.
My daughter was diagnosed with cancer in 2019, but has been in remission after they successfully removed all the cancer. She has had to undergo numerous facial reconstructions afterwards though. Even with medical insurance, the medical costs continue to pile up.
