This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending the Invitational at in Brooksville Florida, compliments of my brother and sister in law. I do not know who exactly runs it or what companies are responsible for which things at the event, but I can say with certainty that this was the best and smoothest run event I have ever been to as a spectator or fan. This includes any professional sporting event, music concert or festival, or school events for the kids. put on one hell of a show. As much of a monster that Olympus is, it was surprisingly "easy" to navigate due to the work of the staff and the volunteers that helped with mulch, straw, drainage, and even adding log steps on some of the hills.
The players were so humble, friendly, accommodating, and an absolute blast to watch play and interact after play was over whether it be signing autographs in the tent, hanging out with a vendors booth, or just wandering around and taking it all in.
The vendors were all great as well. We talked to all of them out there. They talked shop, joked around, and sold us some merch and discs that we had been looking for along with stuff we didn't even know we needed. Prices were on point for all the disc golf gear that i saw. A little extra shout out to for having some snacks and drinks at a more than reasonable price. BIG bottles of water for $2.
You sir, have an absolutely beautiful course and the improvements that I have seen just from practice videos on YouTube for all stars weekend to when we were there for the chess dot com Invitational were unreal. I will 100% be there next year with my brother again and I can NOT wait to see what you guys have in store for the course and property between now and then. This was out first professional disc golf event and it turned us into huge fans of the live events and we will be back here and we will also be trying to attend some others as well. Thank you disc golf, Paul, PDGA, Discraft, and DGPT for one hell of a great time.
