As many of you probably know by now, Dan’s Downtown Records has closed permanently.
I know Dan loved and appreciated each and every friend that walked through the door, and your shared love of music. It, unfortunately, became impossible for him to continue to run the store.
I haven’t personally been in touch with him for a while, but hopefully I’ll remedy that soon.
In the meantime, I’ll keep this page up for everyone to share their memories of Dan and the store, as a place for fellow music lovers to meet and discuss, or any other reason to have a positive social discourse about shared interests. When I get the chance, I’ll make sure to show him the page and all of the love you guys and gals clearly have for (in my opinion) a true Muncie music legend.
As I’m sure Dan would say, “Peace and love.”

Hi, everyone. I just wanted to update all of Dan’s friends. Unfortunately right now, Dan is working through some health issues that are going to keep him from being able to have the store open. This will more than likely last through the holidays. He hopes to be getting better soon so he can share the music he loves with you again. Send good thoughts. He appreciates all of you.
