On this day, we remember the courage of those men, women and children who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks on U.S. soil. The innocent lives cut short from an act of cowardice. Remember all the lives lost on this day attempting to rescue people from rubble and debris. For some this was their last drive to work, their last engine ride, their last response to crisis. That morning was someoneβs last flight, last phone call, last time they uttered the words βI love youβ to the person they cared so deeply for. The one thing that I remember from this tragic event is the way we all came together in the days following. People helping people, people United as patriots. Clinging to the flag because that is a symbol hope, pride, and honor. I had never and have never again seen a nation so United. The nation was in mourning but we were a nation United. Honor those that lost their lives that day, remember them, speak of them and their courage and do them the biggest honor and once again become those patriots we were in those days. Our nation needs us to be them again β₯οΈ
