Hi everyone, I know I've been uninvolved on my page the last few years. Since moving to TN live has been a bit more of a whirlwind than I planned and then add teaching. Since teaching I've limited my alterations and speed pattern testing and fabric promoting. I'm currently in the process of moving and will need to take time to address all of life's changes. I will not be taking on any alterations through next summer. After that, it just depends on how the Lord is directing our lives.

At some point I will get back to bridal alterations but in the mean time I'll be working on sewing through what has become an extensive fabric stash. Maybe I'll eventually post some to sell or do a farmers market. It's all by ear right now.

Back in August I was privileged to alter this bride's wedding dress. She found it on marketplace and fell in love with it. She also learned that it was a custom made dress- totally 1 of a kind. I wish I could find the person who sewed this because they did a gorgeous job in it's construction🥰.

We removed the sleeves that were a bit too tight and made a few other adjustments in the fit and added a bustle. We also chatted and designed a custom veil together! (You saw parts of thar back in October)

She was an absolutely darling bride- the kind of person who brings the sunshine and you always get excited when you can hang out together🥰. I'm even more excited because I now get to work on her sister's wedding dress!!!! How special is that to be able to help an entire family and be a part of their perfect days. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

It's spring break at school. What did I do? Buy fabric! 😅

To be honest, this was a super cute remnant and just enough to make a sun dress for my girls. (Straps to be added later) 🥰

I did also hem 2 bridesmaids dresses and pin 2 brides and a rehersal dress. I can't wait to post the pictures because giant butt bows are back!!! I absolutely love them and the one I just saw tonight had me squealing for joy. 🤩

The job work has been keeping me busy the last few years so I haven't been able to sew much anymore (ironic because I literally teach sewing!) But with a 4 day weekend I've been teaching this little one to sew better. This is about her 4th or 5th sewing project in her life and minky is a pretty daunting fabric but we worked together and got it done!

I can't wait to show you after she gives it to her friend! Her own design and sewn from scratch.🥰
