When it comes to a wedding, every focus is on the bride, as it should be. But behind most wedding’s is a mom who worked extremely hard to make sure that her daughter’s day was perfect. 25 years ago this beautiful lady married her Prince Charming. She came to Pink Petal Designs to have her dress given new life, so she could surprise her husband and renew their vows. It really didn’t take much as it fit her pretty well. With a few adjustments and extra beadwork, it turned out beautifully. Restyling a mother’s wedding gown for her daughter is one of my favorite things to do. The pride on mom’s face and the joy in her daughter’s eyes when they see the finished dress. This one really topped it for me. This beautiful lady, Marcie, was able to share this experience with both of her daughters. Her eldest daughter had the full length gown restyled by The Alterations Shop, for her rehearsal dinner. This year, her youngest daughter Jayden, brought the dress to Pink Petal Designs, to have it personally restyled for her own rehearsal dinner dress. I took it apart, gave it a new look, and it looked fabulous on her. One timeless gown, three beautiful ladies, and three distinct styles that fit each of them perfectly.
Mothers, don’t throw that dated gown away, you never know what it can become.💕

This is something that all of us hear when doing alterations. I understand that the cost may seem expensive but what you’re really paying for is the time, the work, the equipment, the experience and expertise that an alterations specialist gives.
