Matilda Jane Clothing fired all trunk keepers 2 weeks before Christmas with 8 hours notice. Please consider buying directly from trunk keepers with inventory and not the website. It makes me sick that they could do something so deplorable while still taking orders/revenue from you, our customers. They did not even give us commission for our final day as trunk keepers.

MJC was a beautiful company, founded by a beautiful team and founder, with an amazing vision. For years MJC has created treasured, heirloom pieces and has given so much to so many. It has recently become something it was never intended to be by leaders with opposing values. I’ll always cherish the pieces of Matilda Jane that I own and I’ll forever be grateful for the communities created by Denise and later by Alana. I’ll remember what it was and the love between sister trunk keepers and our customers, friends, and the twirling little girls!!🤎 🏷️ 🌸

My beloved friends! Some difficult news to share this morning...Matilda Jane Clothing will be closing its doors at 5:00 pm EST today. We were notified this morning and given 8 hours to try to digest and wrap up our businesses. This has been a fun side hustle for me, but still is heartbreaking.

I honestly don't have words right now. It's fresh. I just wanted to let you know.

If you need some MJ, I guess I would suggest shopping today because this is it. 😂 Gonna laugh my way through it all because not sure what else to do.

Thank you all so much for being here. This is a jab to my mama heart who has watched her girls grow up with wearing these quirky, fun pieces. Denise would be so devastated. Thank you for letting me dress you and your babies over the past 3 years.

Sending a giant hug to all MJC lovers today. Love you all and I'm so grateful to forever be your Trunk Keeper!
