I wanted to take a minute and be honest with you all.
If you’ve noticed that things around here haven’t been quite the same over the last 4–5 months, you’re not imagining it.
The truth is, I’ve been navigating one of the hardest chapters of my life. Going through a nightmare divorce took a much bigger toll on me than I ever expected. It wasn’t just emotionally exhausting.. it has truly affected every single part of my life, including this business.
For a while, I have just been surviving.
Some days, answering messages felt overwhelming. Creating new designs felt impossible. My motivation disappeared, and the passion that has always fueled this little business got buried under everything I was trying to carry.
That has been incredibly hard for me because this business isn’t just how I make a living. It’s something I built from the ground up. It’s something I’m deeply proud of. Every design, every order, every customer, every late night has been part of building something that means so much to me.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve made the decision that it’s time to start finding my way back.
I’m working hard behind the scenes to get caught up, get organized, bring in fresh designs, improve turnaround times, and get this business back to where I know it can be. It’s not going to happen overnight, but I can promise you that I’m showing up every single day with the goal of making Okie Gals stronger than it’s ever been.
I know I haven’t been the business owner I wanted to be these last few months, and that’s something I’ve struggled with. But instead of dwelling on everything I couldn’t do, I’m choosing to focus on what I can do moving forward.
To everyone who has continued to order, share my posts, recommend my business, and extend me grace while I found my footing again… thank you. Your support has kept this dream alive during a season when I wasn’t sure I had much left to give.
This little business has always been built with heart. And while life has knocked me down for a while, it didn’t take away my love for creating.
I’m excited to get back to doing what I love, creating things you’ll love, and giving this business the attention it deserves again.
Thank you for sticking with me. The best is still ahead. ❤️
