Best of the Beach As of January 2017 Best of the Beach will no longer be in business. Thank you all our loyal customers who have supported us for over 15 seasons.

Best of the Beach was conceptualized in 2001 by Elaine Martin. Elaine's vision was to create a store that provided an eclectic confluence of offerings reflecting island lifestyle. The store would be bright, bold, fun, simple, and elegant with an ever-changing inventory that enhanced the customer buying experience. Best of the Beach opened in the spring of 2002. The entire staff believes that Best

of the Beach must remain intriguing and exciting and never be perceived as your "typical store". Customers frequently describe the store as "A Breath of Fresh Air." A sampling of the inventory including Nantucket Pottery, tabletop, home furnishings, beach gear, clothing, and limited edition series is shown on this web site for your convenience and enjoyment. We hope you have the opportunity to visit us and experience the congenial and unique atmosphere of Best of the Beach.

Mary Casey was amazing when we closed up winter 2017- everything that was left (mostly hangers!) went to the Hospital Thrift Shop. This is such a nice piece that everyone should watch to appreciate how much hard work the volunteers do!
