My favorite kind of project! I took a well loved, very worn quilt and gave it a new life as a pillowcase for a friend of the family. I loved being able to salvage as much as possible for the different parts including the handmade piping on the edge.

There’s something colorful on my cutting mat this week ☺️

Sewing has been my favorite hobby for many years but like most things it comes and goes in waves. This past week the creative side of my brain has been super active and all I’ve wanted to do was sit at my desk and sew. I’ve made myself a dress, 2 for my daughter, and now I’m starting a quilt. I’m so excited to get sewing with this fabric!

Just finished a new set of fuzzy flannel un-paper towels 🐝 Love this summery bee print. Slowly trying to minimize our paper consumption. After making the switch about a year ago we’re down to just a roll of paper towels per month for really messy clean ups.

It’s that time of year again 😊 Have you pulled out your holiday decorations yet? We are this weekend. I love starting before Thanksgiving. And before you say anything….Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! 😂 I’m not trying to skip it. I just love the entire season decorated for a long time.

I was asked if I can make personalized hats this week. Answer: I don’t know, let me try! 😂 I love pushing myself to try new things. Definitely wasn’t easy and I need to keep my edges straight, but turned out pretty cute!

E for Evelyn but I think this one might be too big for her still. Good thing the hat was only $4 plus some material I already had on hand and about 45 minutes of my time.
