Nashville, TN + Destination My love for weddings runs deep. And so I start by asking about the details.

The design, the logistics, the relationships, the planning of it all. But beyond the skills that are required is someone who truly lives to celebrate people. My job is to ensure that one day when looking back on the season before your wedding, instead of rejoicing that the stress of that time is over, you're thankful the joy of that season took place. Not the decor or gifts or food, but the heart

and spirit and dreams for your day. What do you want it to embody? Which parts of yourself do you want to shine through? How can you usher that into one of the beautiful and momentous days of your life? I'll help you get there. My heart is to make these thoughts and dreams the foundation that covers every step of the journey to your wedding day. My job is to exchange old, conventional ideas of wedding chaos for peace.

Before Crawfish on the Corner, there hadn’t been a fire department fundraiser in Kingston Springs in quite some time… so we figured we oughta keep the town gatherin’ and the momentum rollin’!

this morning
i rolled over
turned up my little radio
and said,
give me a song
(don’t really ever do that)

it was right at the beginning of
“take it to the limit”

you know i’ve always been a dreamer

and i just laid with my eyes closed and listened and wrote a little… took my own words
and started singing them through it

and thought

again.
what does it look like
to really hear your own heart first?

not just say what you believe
not just shout it into the world

but take it into your body
and become it

that’s where i’ve been
the last four years

hand on my chest
"slow down, little lady"

i see her
that dreamer on the rock
a few days after she said,
“i think i love writing”
back in 2015

barefoot
rolling down a road in portugal
teaching at that little creative school
my dad’s old film camera
warm in my hands

i watch her

the way she brushes off
those flippant insecurities
waves them away
but still stays

i’ve always leaned in

never been one to slip out
when it gets uncomfortable

i want to know
why i’m leaving

and i’ll figure it out
in it
or after

a kiss to the flower
a kiss to the season

but bringing the same heart along
the one that’s always been there

a little more healed

but still curious
still loving

so what does it look like
to hear your own heart first?

to really know
your own song

steady, girl

you can spend your life
making money

or you can spend your love
making time

and if it all went to pieces tomorrow -

what would you still be holding
in your hands?

there are seasons
where your creative self just cracks open
i’m in another one

i can think of five big times in my life
this has happened

the last one
ABLE (I believe it was fashionable at the time) called and asked if i’d do an event for them,
back when i had just gotten here

i found a font i loved,
called it woven,
built a website

i wanted it to be my brand
my overflow

everything i’d been learning,
i poured it in
and made something

there have been a lot of anniversaries lately
a lot of change
that’s both wrecked me
and made me

and i find myself here,
resting in it

knowing i have the best people around me,
reflecting back what i need to see,
loving me big,
holding me steady,

and letting whatever wants to come through me
come

i believe in this deeply

even if it’s in the corner of your kitchen
at 5am
before anyone’s awake,

keep doing what you love
hold it tight
love it big

messy or perfect—
just give it to the world

it heals us. 🤍

I was standing there
looking up at ryan and ben

dark outside,
that quiet kind of sweetness in the air
the kind i don't notice until i stand still
and listen
after a day of being the busy planning bee

we were talking about how it went
when it all aligns and it did

but what stayed with me
was what they gave

their craft
their time
their whole hearts
ryan wrote that song above,
ben, gluing the evening together with song and words

words for a pilot
saying goodbye to 50 years
of what he loved

and you could feel it
the gift of what they bringing happening
woven and in between
the songs they wrote

people holding hands
listening with their whole hearts
tears, honest

an air force two pilot stood to give a toast
and i looked around

and thought
this is it

not perfect
(but pretty damn close)
just… deeply meaningful

hal in the kitchen window
all that prep, all our voice memos

mike out back
smoking, laughing
handing me a piece of meat
every chance he got

troy shaking and pouring
cocktails with that big smile

every server showing up
passing giggles in the kitchen

cala stepping in early
without hesitation
(we all need more cala spirit in us)

everybody bringing what they’ve got
to celebrate somebody else

and god
it gets me

the small ones
the big ones
every gathering

i love this work
i love these people
every day

over and over again 🤍
