We here at Little Black Dress Vintage are deeply saddened by the loss of our very dear friend, David Owens of David Owens Vintage in New York City. Barry has been doing business with David for more than 30 years. DOV first opened its doors in 1978 and became a destination for vintage shoppers on the lower east side. Every time we got together with David at his shop on Rivington Street, he was always such a sweet and generous host.

Apparently my last post caused a stir. I was merely stating that one day we will sell our house. The imperfect conditions were a joke. So let me put out there again… no rush nothing scary.

So Bill and I r slowly pulling it together to soon enough sell our home of 25 plus years. I was told recently that my home is disgusting in that I have the dirtiest home. That it leaks like a sieve and I’m harvesting mold. This was a reaction when I called a worker couple who did work on my home to the tune of 5,000. PLus. When I did lay it out there that work done had fallen apart I should have gotten leaking fixed. What was I paying for? I imagined worker B would have been more thorough. Would I recommend them? In a word, NO! Not because the work failed, but because they ridiculed ME as the cause for the problem and I was on my own because of my dirty house. Lesson learned!
