(REVIEW) Callaway Golf's Quantum Max hybrid makes a very simple argument: most golfers do not need a harder-to-hit hybrid.

This one launched high enough to be useful, stayed in the proper distance window, and offered the kind of consistency that actually helps with scoring. Add in the OptiFit4 hosel and heel-toe weighting, and this looks less like a flashy release and more like the kind of hybrid that quietly stays in the bag for a long time.

Blade holdouts are running out of excuses. This PING mallet looks premium, feels soft, and made consistency look easy in our team’s testing.

The PING Scottsdale TEC Hayden putter is a convincing entry into the canon of modern mallet putters. Get Dylan's full review here.

REVIEW: ’s RS1 putter is one of the more radical designs we’ve tested in a long time, but the performance story is what makes it worth a look. Instead of pushing weight behind the shaft, 75% of the mass sits in front of it to create what Performance Golf calls Face Down Balance.

The other surprise is that all this unconventional shaping did not come at the expense of forgiveness. In our testing we found the RS1 to be extremely forgiving, with indoor launch monitor testing showing smash-factor consistency equal to the L.A.B. DF3i, which is about as strong a compliment as you can give a putter in this category. Add in the soft, controlled feel and this becomes a very intriguing option for golfers who want a completely different way to improve their start line.

REVIEW: TaylorMade Golf built a hybrid for golfers who are tired of pretending long irons are still a good idea.

The Qi4D Max Rescue is fast, forgiving, and launches high enough to make long approaches feel a lot less stressful. In our team’s testing, this looked like the kind of hybrid most golfers should be trying before they make the top of the bag harder than it needs to be.

(REVIEW) Tour Edge Golf's Exotics Max fairway wood makes a pretty uncomfortable argument for the rest of the category: maybe most golfers do not need more “tour shaping,” more adjustability, or more excuses.

This thing is fast, launches easily, and keeps enough forgiveness in the head to make bad swings look a lot better than they should. In our team’s testing, it came off like a practical fairway wood in the best possible way.

Callaway built this one for the golfer who wants speed without giving up consistency. That sounds simple—until you see how well it actually worked.

REVIEW: PING’s Scottsdale TEC Hayden is the kind of putter that makes a lot of other mallets look busy. The Eye Q alignment system is simple, the one-piece PEBAX insert is very soft, and the bigger surprise is how easy this putter made pace control look in our team’s testing.

This is not a generic “feels great in the store” putter. It is a heel-shafted, full-offset mallet that looks built for one job: helping straight-stroke players hit more quality putts.

REVIEW: Titleist may have made the driver that blows up the whole “players driver vs forgiving driver” debate...

The GTS2 is fast. It is forgiving. And in our team’s testing, it looked like the model most golfers should start with. If you are skipping this one because you think you already know what a Titleist driver is, that is probably a mistake.

🚨NEW REVIEW: Fujikura Golf's 2026 Ventus TR Red is not just a higher-launch version of the usual Ventus story. The updated profile gets ultra stiff in the butt section, stays stiff through the mid and tip, and creates a very specific fit for golfers who want some kick but still need control. In our team’s testing, the best swings produced strong push-draws and a flight just a touch higher than TR Blue.

The key here is that this shaft seems to reward good effort with controlled transition, not just max-speed aggression. That makes it an interesting option for golfers who feel caught between Blue and Red and want something active without going fully loose or overly soft.
