We've officially launched the Stitch Vixen Home Sewist's Club, a monthly craft subscription service designed to compliment your home learning plan for this school semester. Your monthly plan includes craft materials and instruction for 4 weekly activities, plus access to a YouTube instructional video, and a weekly live Q&A session with Miss Vanessa. No sewing machine required! Plans are available for Beginning and Experienced sewing levels, and can be bought in one, two or three month terms. Savings and free gifts when you bundle! I know I'm just a little bitty business, with a inconsequential platform, but as an educator and mentor to young people it's important to me to make it clear that Stitch Vixen Sewing Co. unequivocally believes Black Lives Matter. If you know me at all personally, you know I'm proudly vocal on this position and if this leads you to conclude that you no longer support the work I do, I hope you find space in your heart to love and respect everyone equally sooner than later.

Hey friends!
I hope you are all staying safe, sane and healthy during these "special times." As we are all adjusting to our new circumstances and looking to keep one another safe, Stitch Vixen has been working hard to provide masks to our community, and with your extraordinary support, I produced almost 450 masks since the CDC recommended face coverings in public! And it seems like this is something that isn't going to go away any time soon. So with that in mind, I've reopened my Etsy shop to provide you with more style options, fabric patterns and sizes to make sure we can incorporate our new accessories into our lives as comfortably and stylishly as possible. I'm building it in baby steps, but for now there are two fit styles and several fabric options available to buy, shipping included! Hey everyone! You might have heard, Stitch Vixen's hiatus is somewhat...unhiatened? We've returned to Nevada County for the duration of the Covid-19 pandemic and right now we are focused on providing masks to the community here. If you are seeking fabric masks as recommended by the CDC, Vanessa Lambert is making them and giving them on a donation basis. These masks are made from quilters cotton, have four layers of fabric, a pocket for a filter, pleats to fit over the mouth and chin, a wire to fit over the nose, and can be made with either elastic or fabric ties. Comes in three sizes--child, standard and XL. $10 suggested donation, but absolutely no one will be denied a mask if you are in need! Donations go towards cost of materials, labor, and towards a fund to provide masks to others free of charge. Send me a message here for more details or to make a request. If you are an essential worker, I will guarantee you a mask for free!
