I’ve been a little quiet these past few months, and I wanted to share why. Since my dad passed away in November, I’ve taken a step back from the business (no sewing, no posting, no online shop), just giving myself space to grieve and to work through everything that comes with loss and settling an estate. This winter has been about processing, healing, and taking things one day at a time. Lately, I’ve slowly started making again and that feels like a small but meaningful step forward. Thank you so much for your patience and kindness. Please know that Stewart Handmade will continue, just at a gentler pace for right now. We do have a market planned with Vintage Market Days in Mckinney, May 8-10. I’m really looking forward to that! 🍓 For now, I’ll be holding off on reopening the online shop, but I’ll share updates as things unfold. Grateful for this community more than I can say ❤️

From one well-loved quilt-comes a whole collection 💗This sweet hummingbird quilt (63x86) was carefully cut and reimagined into:
👜 3 Chicasa Totes, 2 Chica Totes. ✨Plus 2 large, 2 medium, 1 small, and 1 mini Simple Pouch and 1 sweetheart pouch to match. Even the tiniest scraps are saved-nothing goes to waste if I can help it. I love finding ways to use every piece of these quilts so their stories live on ♻️ 💖 That little pile of scraps is all that’s left! ❤️ If something catches your eye, DM me anytime to claim one of these one of a kind pieces. No matter how much I prepare, I always worry I don’t have quite enough… but these little antique bobbin trees made me stop and smile tonight 🌲
They’re a sweet reminder of why I love this season — creating, sharing, and getting excited for all the handmade magic (and holidays!) ahead. 🎁✨

What a great weekend at our little market ! 🍂 We met so many wonderful vendors and vintage-loving folks — thank you to everyone who came out to shop and support handmade 💜
Now it’s back to the studio as we prep for 🧵✨ this weekend Thursday 4-8, Friday and Saturday 10-4 ✨
We’re looking forward to the cool weather and breaking out the sweaters this week — it’s finally starting to feel like fall! 🍁

What a day! 🌧️ Even with the pouring rain, we’ve had such a wonderful response at the fair 💗 Thank you to everyone who braved the weather to browse, shop, and chat with us—it’s been such a great experience meeting so many enthusiastic customers and fellow vendors 💖
We’ll be back tomorrow from 8:00–4:00 with lots of totes and handmade treasures. Can’t wait to see you again and already looking forward to the next one! 🧵✨

What a weekend! ✨ We had such an exceptional time at Vintage Market Days of Northwest Arkansas—thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared your stories, and shopped handmade with us. We’ll definitely be back in the Spring! 🌸
True confession: I always worry I won’t have enough pieces to sell, so I travel with my sewing machine and a tote full of half-finished treasures just in case. 🧵✂️ It keeps me creating right up until the last minute! Our next market is War Eagle Fair this weekend!!
And today… we made our biggest quilt haul yet at a sweet little antique mall. 😍 I can’t wait to show you what these quilts will become in their next chapter. Stay tuned—so many good things ahead!
