So as my kids have aged, I’ve allowed them to be a much more active participant in the teacher gifts, which I think is special.

They have really enjoyed in the last year giving Jewelry as gifts which I have to say I think is a welcome change for a lot of teachers because they do get a lot of candles, mugs and notepads.

Why don’t we have a public restroom? Glad you asked. 😅

12 years ago, a woman let her child use our floor as a bathroom. And then walked out the door. No acknowledgment. No apology. Nothing.

We cleaned it up, because what else do you do — and we made a decision that day that no more public restroom.

Some policies have long explanations. Ours has one very short, very memorable story.

I am sure my fellow retailers have other crazy stores like this! 🫣

RETAIL is Alive.

Soulless shopping is dead.

People want connection- they want to be seen and heard. People want to give gifts that support local shops. People want to share in a common experience.

The level of gratitude I feel for all of you who have shown up with a contagious energy and engaged in the shopping experience is out of this world.

How lucky am I to not only have my mom still but also get to see her almost daily. 💫💙

She keeps the world spinning for so many. She still works at 77, travels, moves furniture around like a champ.

She is a constant inspiration that there is so much more to come and to always keep going.

If I could give her the world I would - but a few she la la gifts will have to do 🤩💕💫
